DISCIPLINES
AND EQUIPMENT (1/4) |
|
 |
These are the disciplines that the CAC races consist
of. The organizer decides which disciplines will be included in the
race. He can also include other disciplines and in that case the competitors
will be informed about it on time.
Next to each discipline there is a list of required and desirable
equipment. Only technical equipment is listed. Naturally,
there is also adequate clothes and footwear for particular disciplines
and different weather conditions.
1. Mountaineering, hiking, running
– the races pass through different wild regions, and somewhere also
through urban ones. Along with speed and skill, orientation in space
is also important.
EQUIPMENT: rucksack, headlamp.
Walking-sticks are desirable.
2. Mountain biking
– cycling over different terrains (macadam, forest paths, asphalt).
There are places where cycling is not possible and bikes have to be
carried.
EQUIPMENT: mountain bike, helmet, front and rear
light, K/h watch, pump, spare inner tubes, gloves. It is desirable
to have a map carrier. |
