| TECHNICAL MEETING – meeting
of the teams (both competitive and escort ones, if required
for particular race) and the organizer, one or two days before
the race, during which competitors get all the information about
the race (presentation of the track, control points, sequence
of disciplines, lengths of sections, maps, special instructions). |
| TRANSITIONAL ZONES – places
in the race in where teams exchange disciplines or take equipment
already prepared by their escort teams. In races that do not
require escort teams competitors can take their equipment from
the tanks they have prepared in the beginning of race. The tanks
are transported by the organizer. |
| CHECKPOINTS – places determined
by the organizer in which the controllers register passing of
teams. The checkpoints have to pe passed in sequence established
by the organizer. If there are no controllers other means of
checking will be determined. |
| TIME LIMIT – time limit for
the arrival to a particular control point or transitional zone
determined by the organizer. |
| EXTREME TIME LIMIT – utmost
time for reaching the finish; determined by the organizer. |
