Adventure race is
an expeditionary multidisciplinary competition during which the four
or two-member teams, have to, in as short time as possible, pass the
defined track, moving by day and by night.
Only the use of non-motorized means is allowed (rafts,
kayaks, bikes…)
The first adventure race in Croatia CRO
CHALLENGE 2000.
The first adventure race in Croatia, the Cro Challenge,
organized by the Spirit Association, was successfully
held on May 27th and 28th 2000.
The competitors, nine four-member teams, passed the most
difficult tests of human endurance in these disciplines: kayaking,
white-water rafting, canoeing, climbing, canyoning, cycling and trekking
on the 140 km long track. Only four teams reached
the final spot in Makarska, and that fact tells enough about the demands
of the track and the skills necessary in all disciplines of extreme
sports.
